Getting divorced can be a painful and difficult process, and can leave one or both parties financially distressed. A CDFA® professional can assist you with the financial complexities of your divorce.
A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional is a financial expert who specializes in working with couples going through divorce. Many CDFA® practitioners also hold other professional designations, such as CPA, a CFP® certification or are engaged in other related fields such as real estate or mortgage lending.
Anyone who is contemplating divorce or who has already started the divorce process can benefit from working with a CDFA® professional to help understand their financial picture. This financial expert can work with just one spouse or with both spouses as a neutral party to help organize, understand and interpret their financial picture.
Working with a financial professional from the beginning of your divorce process can improve your chances of achieving a fair and equitable settlement. We can help identify settlement options for your specific situation. A financial divorce expert will assist in analyzing how the decisions made today might impact your future financial situation.
As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional, and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ practitioner, my goal is to help divorcing couples understand their financial picture and develop a fair and equitable financial settlement. I am trained in basic mediation and Collaborative Divorce; I can work as a financial neutral in a Collaborative Divorce or mediation to help both spouses. Alternatively, I can work with just one spouse to assist with understanding to what they may be entitled.
I have practiced as a financial planner/advisor for over 20 years. I am located in Bend, Oregon, but able to work virtually with clients throughout Oregon and Washington. I will coordinate with your attorney or mediator to help you with the successful negotiation of your settlement.
I am a board member of the Oregon Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP) and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
When not working, I enjoy fly fishing and traveling to interesting locales around the world.
